In March of 2020, Zoom reported that it had more than 200 million daily meeting participants. Usage of this and other video tools are up XX%. As the 2020 pandemic thrust us all into our homes, we were forced into creative ways of doing business, learning online, and staying connected with friends and family. It is also where are turning to be entertained and learn something new. Parents are joining in on Tik Tok with their teens, and people are sharing video on their Instagram stories. Although we are all at home, we are connected more than ever and able to reach more people regardless of time zone and geography. In a recent blog post, Zoom shared all the creative ways our favorite musicians, actors and comedians are staying connected with their fans from home without the studios, live events and stadiums. As Jimmy Fallon uses hand drawn cards and juggles working from home with his two young daughters, taking walks with his wife through the neighborhood, it is authentic and raw, and we find that we may just like him even more. For marketers, this platform is not new. What is new, is that the pandemic has forced a whole new group of people to get comfortable with Zoom and other video tools and shows us were are all in this together.
